What to wear for early summer wedding?
My boyfriend’s cousin is getting married at or near the beach (not sure) this month. I’m expecting it to be very hot most likely… what would you wear? I’ve never been to wedding! I need something that will be cool enough but look nice.
First things first, cotton. Stay away from any fabrics that don’t breathe. Wool, polyester and the like can get very hot very quickly. Stick with a lightweight cotton. Knee length is alway appropriate for a wedding. Anything shorter could cause a bride to throw something at you and in something longer you will be too warm. Sleeveless is a good choice, just don’t pick a dress that is too revealing. Spaghetti straps are supposed to be covered up with a shawl or jacket and most people don’t find them suitable for a wedding. And make sure that it’s either a colored dress or a patterned one, and not white
