Car fuse problems!!!!! Help me please?
I had my car (’86′ Mazda 323) fixed a little while ago. I blew the largest fuse the damn thing has, but ever since I have, my auxiliary functions don’t work at all i.e. ceiling lights, dash clock, and sound system won’t even turn on. I thought it was the battery, but I had to get it towed to a shop when the battery wasn’t the problem and it wasn’t even turning over. A simple fuse was blown, and I had it quickly taken care of by professionals and looked at for other problems.
I have a 6 hour commute coming up, and don’t wish to be without music.
PLEASE help me figure out what’s wrong with my car!
I am also noticing there is another fuse block with a 10 amp fuse that controls the circuits you are talking about that do not function. It could be one of two fuses. One being called the meter fuse and the other would be the room fuse. One is fuse number 12 and the other is fuse number 5. This fuse block is located just to the left of your steering wheel under the dash.
One or both of these fuses may be blown. Replace them with 10 amp fuses. If either blows again you have a short circuit that needs to be corrected
……………
double check the other fuses. it is possible to blow a low amp fuse and one of the larger fuses.
